About the Riddick Scholarship

The Raymond E. Riddick Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1977 to honor Coach Riddick’s contributions to Lowell High School and to assist Lowell High Students in financing their college educations.  Coach Riddick was a Lowell High School grad, who coached football at LHS for 29 years. He was an inspiration and mentor to many of the students he coached and taught at LHS.

The Fund selects several students each year to receive scholarships based on their academic success, athletic contributions, extracurricular involvement, and a short essay.

All LHS seniors who plan on attending college are eligible to apply.

Scholarship recipients are selected by the Board of Directors.  The Fund is a non-profit foundation, operating under the rules of the Internal Revenue Service code 501(c)(3).
